Wow - those cacti are beautiful...would you mind if I drew or painted from your pictures for Cactus Monday? I have 3 little cacti in a pot - in about 3 weeks I will run out of ways to sketch/paint them. Unless I turn to abstract. Thanks for stopping by my blog-it's fun to meet the other cactuteers!
I love it, I don't think I would have see that. The USMC post reminds me of the BLM firefighters I see double-timing it up our trail in full turn-out gear, for conditioning. I don't know how they do it, youth maybe?
Diane, I much prefer to experience Cactus hugs vicariously through other plants as you've so expertly detailed. Real Cactus hugs have been less than pleasant and I'm almost certain you have your own stories to confirm these apprehensions.
