Oh, you're ahead of us! The only things starting to pop open by me are teensy weeny tiny white ground cover flowers and the popcorn flowers. (Our locals call them "fiddlenecks." I've not heard the real name, before your post.) I did see a Mexican poppy bud the other day...

Your desert is in bloom, we are just beginning to see the first flowers. I'm impressed at your knowledge, yesterday Jules and I were out and the best we could do is say pretty blue purple flower.

Beautiful Diane. Since I've never been out west much (only a couple of times) ---I don't think I would know what any of these beautiful flowers are. I love all of them. The colors are marvelous. I especially like especially the Fairy Duster. Perfect name!!!
