Clouds at Sunrise

A few mornings ago, the sky was cloudy as I walked in Sabino Canyon.

Clouds were a welcome change from the clear skies usually seen in this area.

It almost looked as if it could rain.

The creek hasn't flowed since July.

Even the tiny pools of stagnant water have dried up.

No rain, the clouds were just teasing. After all, this is the desert.

Nice skies even if you didn't get rain. It seems you didn't get much of a monsoon this year either.
I like the silvery look to the plants in the second photo. All great shots, though.

A little early in the season for much rain. But those clouds sure made for a beautiful sunrise. Thanks for being up early to catch it.

I would have definitely thought rain from the look of those clouds, but then I don't know the desert. At least they provide some stunning photos.

There's cloud but no rain. How strange. Nonetheless, nice shots of the desert. Have a wonderful weekend!

The cactus plants seems to be looking towards the sky for rain. The sky looks nice to see with different tones of blue.

Beautiful shots of the sunset over the desert! What a magical place. My sister lives in Phoenix. I guess it is monsoon season there.
