I've never seen a quail all "fluffed out" like that. Cool picture!

I love the quail. I think his coloring is a little different than our California quail. You must have been out early to catch him fluffed up and catchig the sun.

Beautiful Poem.

The Quail seems to be focused inward towards the warmth of its heart.

That Quail shot is great. Every now and then a local roadrunner stops in for a sip, then fluffs out all his feathers and soaks up the sun. The first time i saw him do it, I had to do a double take, because I had no idea what it was. He looked pretty funny. I'll have to dog back and see if I can find one of those pics. I'll have to take another day hike up in Sabino soon. I'm a bit of a pussy when it comes to Cougars though.
